From September 22 to 24, 2025, the Geodetic Institute conducted measurements on the movement behavior of a railway bridge in Hagen.
From 22-24.9.2025, the Geodetic Institute carried out measurements on the movement behavior of a railroad bridge in Hagen. The structure is an iron truss construction from the beginning of the 20th century. The Dortmund-Hagen rail link crosses the Volme river over this bridge. The 3D movement of 6 points on the bridge was tracked simultaneously at a clock rate of 25 Hz when different train types and speeds crossed. The evaluation should provide information on the extent to which the structure meets the requirements of current and future rail traffic.
